CLEANING:Guests are responsible for keeping and leaving the home in a clean state
ELECTRICITY: Electricity is paid by the guest and calculated based on the meter measurements before and after your arrival at a rate of Euros 0.10 per KW.
BOOKING:
1. The Guest must confirm his reservation in writing or via email once the availability is confirmed.
2. Reservation is confirmed once a refundable deposit of 30% is made and this contract signed or confirmed via email.
The payment of deposit can either be made by direct bank wire transfer to my US bank account in a preconfirmed $ amount . Contact Tricia Altenau to find out the rates

3. The remaining of the payment is made by the guest at the check-in day in Euros. Contact Tricia Altenau at triciaaltenau@wanadoo.fr to find out the Euro rate difference to be paid.
4. The Contract's copy and all information regarding the booking will be sent to you by email prior to your departure date. 5. A refundable security deposit will be asked upon arrival ofr $150.00 (usually a check that will not be cashed)
CANCELLING :
The reservation can be cancelled 30 days before contract commencement to receive 100% of the deposit back. If cancelled less than 30 days prior to beginning of the contract, the deposit cannot be refundable.

The guests are responsible for insuring the property during their stay. The premises being furnished, the guest must use them in proper condition and make sure to read the initial inventory upon arrival. The property must be treated with care and Owner shall be reimbursed for any damage caused . The guest shall use the premises as temporary residence only and shall not engage in any commercial, illegal, nuisance, dangerous, or other activity that could embarrass Owner or cause Owner to receive complaints from neighbors. The premises shall not be occupied or left in the care of anyone not listed herein nor shall any pets be kept without the owner's notification. If pets accompany their owners, owners take full responsibility to ensure protection of the premises from any pet damages to property. The number of guests indicated must be respected. Linens are changed once a week and bath towels are provided, but guests must clean the dishes before leaving the apartment, which must be left in a clean state before departure.
This agreement represents the entire agreement and understanding between the guest and the owner. Any modification, alteration, or addition to this agreement shall be in writing and signed by both parties to be binding.

ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Preferrably, at least two days before your arrival, telephone Agnes and Eric Morette at 0247930233 in Chinon France. They are the caretakers of Maison Mizaru and live 500 meters distance from the house. They will schedule an appointment (rendezvous) to meet you on your day of arrival and introduce you to your new residence, Maison Mizaru. They speak French and a little English. Our Norwegian neighbor speaks a good English. Usually the Morettes will direct you to their home for the initial meeting and then bring you to Maison Mizaru. They have two children and are friendly and informative about the region.
If you arrive in Chinon by car, to get to the Morette's home
Follow the road to the center of Chinon (see map below) (Place du G Degaulle) a shop lined center of town, fronted by a statue of Rabelais and with an interior tree courtyard) Just after passing the Mairie on the right, take the next right turn onto a cobblestone street that is also a foot thoroughway so drive slowly (La Rue Jacques Rousseau; direction l'Office du Tourisme). You will pass the cinema on your right but it is not blatant in its signage so you might overlook it. Continue a short distance until the street opens to la Place Hoffeim. In this small center there is central parking with the rue encircling it. The Office du Tourisme is on your left as you drive in. Take the left impasse (passage) direction parking de la breche. Drive just til the end of the short passage into a large parking. The Morette house is the last on the right opening onto the parking. Their house is three stories grey cement stucco facade with a two story red and yellow house just to the right. They have a bell rope that you can pull to announce your arrival. Be sure to call them in advance, preferrably two days, to let them know your approximate arrival time.
They will take you to Maison Mizaru, give you the keys and local info. At this time full payment is to be made.
If you arrive in Chinon by train:
Let the Morettes know your arrival time sufficiently in advance and Agnes or Eric will pick you up and bring you to the house.
If you arrive in Chinon by taxi:
Go directly to the Morette's house (15 Impasse Jean Mace, 37500 Chinon, France)
In every case, call before to let Eric and Agnse know when you are arriving.
Check in time is usually around 2:00pm.
